Nokia inks licensing deal with leading Chinese POS manufacturer PAX

    On September 23, Patrik Hammarén, Head of Nokia's IoT Licensing Business, disclosed that Nokia has inked a patent licensing agreement with Pax Global Technology, China's leading manufacturer of POS machines. Under this agreement, Pax will pay Nokia patent fees over multiple years. This deal marks a significant milestone for Nokia in its IoT licensing program. Collaborating with Pax, the largest POS manufacturer in China, is expected to accelerate Nokia's licensing efforts with other Chinese POS machine manufacturers. Nokia is reportedly preparing for additional licensing agreements. Not long ago, Nokia concluded its patent licensing renewal cycle with the top seven companies in the smartphone industry and announced its first patent licensing agreement with a Chinese automobile manufacturer.
