On September 9, reporters learned from the Anhui Provincial Administration for Market Regulation that the number of registered data intellectual property certificates in Anhui has surpassed 1,000, reaching 1,003. This ranks Anhui fourth in the country, with coverage across industries such as quantum computing, new energy vehicles, new materials, smart agriculture, urban safety, and smart elderly care. This milestone marks a new stage in Anhui’s efforts to promote the circulation of data elements and empower the development of the digital economy.
Among the registered certificates, a large proportion of data relates to Anhui’s strategic emerging industries such as new energy vehicles and artificial intelligence, as well as future industries including quantum technology and aerospace information. In recent years, Anhui has placed great emphasis on data intellectual property (IP) work. Data IP has successively been included in key provincial government agendas, annual measures for optimizing the business environment, and key tasks for building a strong IP province. Anhui has also been designated by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) as a pilot province for data intellectual property.
