From Oct 5 to Oct 8, 2016, the 16th FICPI Open Forum was held in St. Petersburg, Russia. Lots of patent attorneys, trademark attorneys and lawyers from all over the world attended this forum and had in-depth discussions about the recent developments in international IP industry.

    Ms. Gloria Wu, a partner of Kangxin, attended the FICPI working and researching committee meeting as one of the guest speakers and delivered a keynote speech on the topic of Using Quality Assurance Methods to Bring your Firm to the Next Level. Based on her extensive working experience, Ms. Wu introduced the theory behind quality assurance methods, and gave examples to explain how these methods may be implemented to make the internal work-flow more transparent, less error-prone, faster and less costly, even further she gave examples to explain how self-assessment of firms and quality control can be used to establish a quality certificate for law firm. The attendees found the speech very informative.
FICPI was founded over 100 years ago, in 1906; its headquarters are located in Paris. FICPI is the only international non-governmental organization whose membership consists exclusively of IP attorneys in private practice. Now, FICPI has more than 5000 members in over 80 countries on six continents. Members, observers and consultants of FICPI have played a positive role in the development of the world’s IP and contributed to making FICPI a balanced international organization with the latest development in the IP industry.
