Time has flown, and Kangxin has now been firmly rooted in the intellectual property industry for 32 years. During this year’s anniversary month, we turned our attention back to every Kangxin colleague who has worked alongside us. To mark this special 32nd anniversary milestone, we organised an online fitness check-in activity for all employees from September 14 to 24.
Through 11 days of collective check-ins, we encouraged everyone to get up from their desks and walk more, gradually developing a small exercise habit they could maintain for years to come—we are committed to protecting the long-term value of every innovation, and equally committed to safeguarding the health of every employee.
Following the announcement, nearly 200 colleagues from different roles joined, with many completing their first check-in that very day.
153 Participants Complete 8,888 Steps Each, Totalling 1.35 Million Steps: A Collective Footprint Tribute to the 32nd Anniversary
In the activity’s central initiative, “A Footprint Tribute to Kangxin’s Anniversary,” 153 employees completed the full 8,888-step challenge, recording a combined total of 1,359,864 steps.
As individual footsteps came together to form a collective trail, the numbers took on tangible significance: these more than 1.35 million steps represent nearly 80% of the journey from our Beijing headquarters to our Wuhan branch; enough distance for two round trips between our Beijing and Tianjin branches; or, if joined into one continuous route, a journey eastward from our Beijing headquarters all the way to our Qingdao branch.
Through their steady footsteps, Kangxin employees offered a heartfelt gift to the company on its 32nd anniversary. Kangxin’s 32-year journey in intellectual property services has likewise been built one step at a time—from a small team at its founding to today’s professional service network spanning multiple cities, every step forward has depended on the dedicated efforts of every Kangxin employee. The extended trail created by their collective footsteps is a vivid expression of Kangxin’s corporate spirit: “Going Far with Trust and Integrity.”
An Energetic Race Across All Business Functions: Finding the Strength to Persevere amid Busy Daily Schedules
During the 11-day “Department Vitality Competition,” three teams won the “Energetic Team Award” through the consistent commitment of all their members:
First Place, Brand Centre Team: a cumulative average of 171,500 steps per person;
Second Place, Platform Operations Team: a cumulative average of 155,700 steps per person;
Third Place, Finance Department: a cumulative average of 129,900 steps per person.
Throughout the 11-day activity, all members of these three teams maintained more than 10,000 steps a day for almost the entire period. This long-term commitment reflected in their step counts closely aligns with a defining characteristic of intellectual property services: every professional achievement worthy of trust comes from consistent dedication, day after day.
Challenge Highlights: Kangxin Employees Who Make Perseverance Part of Everyday Life
Across the activity’s four individual challenge categories, several employees demonstrated exercise discipline far beyond expectations, becoming “role models for vitality” among their colleagues:
the first finisher in the Walking Leaderboard Challenge was Yang Fang from the Domestic Patent Department, who was the first to complete all challenge targets;
the fastest finisher in the Running Leaderboard Challenge was Shi Lei from the International Patent Department, who completed the total distance of 32 kilometres just four days into the activity, achieving the target with remarkable efficiency;
the record setter in the Calorie-Burning Challenge was Shi Rui from the Finance Department, who burned a total of 11,700 kilocalories, equivalent to the energy expenditure of running approximately 195 kilometres.
In addition, dozens of employees successfully completed every stage of the Vitality Quest Challenge, achieving their own small personal breakthroughs. These examples of perseverance across different roles together formed the most vibrant scenes of the activity.
Gifts for Vitality: Bringing This Journey of Perseverance to a Close with Rewards
Every step taken over these 11 days deserves to be remembered and rewarded. To thank our colleagues for their committed participation, we prepared a thoughtful selection of “Vitality Rewards”:
Atour Planet Sleep Pillow—helping you sleep a little more deeply every night
Huawei Band—keeping step counts and heart rate on your wrist, with a visible record of your exercise
Xiaomi Wireless Charger—simply place your device beside your workstation and quietly recharge for your next outing
Dumbbells, Acupressure Mats and Figure-Eight Resistance Bands—bring home compact fitness equipment for strength, relaxation and stretching
Exclusive 32nd Anniversary Hand Gripper—continue with Kangxin towards its next anniversary, keeping health firmly in your hands
Whether or not they made the leaderboard, every colleague who kept participating in this collective effort received a little surprise of their own. The joy of exercise has never depended on rankings.
Keeping Moving: Supporting Every Innovation with Health and Vitality
Regular exercise and dedicated work in intellectual property share the same underlying commitment to the long term: as we refine every IP document and follow up on every intellectual property project, we succeed through daily focus, consistent performance and sustained patience. Maintaining regular exercise provides a continuous source of energy to support this professional dedication.
The conclusion of this online fitness activity marks a new starting point for a culture of health across Kangxin. Going forward, Kangxin will continue to incorporate care for employee health into everyday corporate life, enabling every colleague to move steadily forward with the company, full of energy, and to support more innovators with greater professionalism as they progress further and with greater confidence.
