Recently, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) issued the Notice on Determining the Objects for the 2025–2027 National Intellectual Property Strong Country Construction Demonstration and Creation. Four enterprises from the Haikou National High-Tech Zone—Hainan Huayan Collagen Technology Co., Ltd., Hainan Huanglong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Hainan Meiya Cable Group Co., Ltd., and Hainan Asia Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.—were successfully selected as candidates for National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprises.

    This selection not only elevates these park enterprises into the "national team" of the intellectual property (IP) field but also marks a significant breakthrough for the zone in cultivating high-value innovative entities, constructing an innovation gradient system, and promoting high-quality industrial development. It injects new vitality into the innovative development of the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP). The four selected enterprises focus on the zone's leading industries, including biomedicine, advanced manufacturing, and new materials. As tech-innovation entities long prioritized for cultivation by the zone, they have consistently excelled in tackling core technologies, deploying high-value patent portfolios, and transforming IP assets. Their integrated development of technological innovation and IP has yielded remarkable results, demonstrating strong industry representativeness and a leading exemplary role.

    In recent years, the Haikou National High-Tech Zone has consistently prioritized IP work as a core element of high-quality development. It has continuously refined its cultivation system, resulting in a continuous burst of innovative momentum and the construction of a full-chain cultivation system characterized by "Policy Guidance + Platform Support + Precision Service." Through targeted policies and precise execution, the zone has supported enterprises in building core technical barriers and enhancing comprehensive competitiveness by implementing high-value patent cultivation projects, patent navigation programs, and the promotion of IP insurance.

    To date, the zone has cumulatively cultivated 38 National IP Advantage and Demonstration Enterprises, accounting for 52% of Haikou's total. The successful shortlisting of these four enterprises is a microcosm of the High-Tech Zone's persistent efforts to nurture a fertile ground for innovation and implement gradient cultivation for innovative entities. The zone has gradually formed a robust innovation pattern of "leadership by champions, follow-up by tiers, and synergistic development," with innovative vitality being continuously released.

    Moving forward, the Haikou National High-Tech Zone will take this selection as an opportunity to further advance the demonstration and creation work of the IP strong country construction. It will accelerate the construction of a more dynamic innovation ecosystem and promote the transformation of more innovative achievements into actual productivity. Simultaneously, focusing on leading industries, the zone will strengthen the cultivation of innovative entities, refine full-chain IP services, and strive to create a new highland for IP creation, utilization, and protection in the province. This will inject strong momentum into the cultivation of new quality productive forces, contributing the "High-Tech Power" to the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
