Top 100 Jiangsu Manufacturing Enterprises by Invention Patent Ownership Announced
date: 2026-03-03

Recently, the Jiangsu Intellectual Property Protection Center announced the 2025 List of Top 100 Manufacturing Enterprises in Jiangsu Province by Invention Patent Ownership, with Suzhou-based enterprises delivering a stellar performance.

A total of 44 enterprises from Suzhou made the list, boasting an invention patent portfolio of 28,913, accounting for more than half of the total patents on the Top 100 list. Among the top ten enterprises, Suzhou occupied six slots. Specifically, Suzhou YuanNao Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. secured the top position with 11,221 invention patents, followed closely by Kunshan Govisionox Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. and Boots 精工 (Bozhon Precision Science and Technology Co., Ltd.). The listed enterprises are primarily concentrated in key industrial sectors such as electronic information, high-end equipment manufacturing, and advanced materials, demonstrating robust innovative strength.

This outstanding performance is the result of Suzhou’s unremitting efforts to strengthen intellectual property support and cultivate a deep-rooted scientific and technological innovation ecosystem.

In recent years, Suzhou has implemented a series of measures, including high-value patent cultivation and the integration of IP and standards, to fully assist the fusion of corporate technological innovation and industrial development. These efforts provide solid support for tackling key core technologies, laying out high-value patent portfolios, and industrializing innovative achievements, thereby continuously enhancing the core competitiveness of industrial clusters.

Deepening the cultivation of IP-strong enterprises to strengthen the "source of innovation." To further empower innovative development, the Municipal Market Supervision Bureau (Intellectual Property Administration) has continuously advanced high-value patent cultivation projects. A total of 20 units in the city have been approved as provincial demonstration centers for high-value patent cultivation, and 105 units have undertaken municipal-level projects. Focusing on "bottleneck" technologies in key industries, guided by the support of high-value patents for high-quality development, and led by innovative enterprises with the support of universities, research institutes, and IP service agencies, the city is jointly promoting collaborative breakthroughs in key core technologies for industrial innovation clusters. By the end of 2025, Suzhou enterprises held 168,700 valid invention patents, accounting for 91.83% of the city’s total—ranking fourth among all Chinese cities (following Beijing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai).

Promoting the synergy of IP and standards to forge a "grand platform" for innovation. In 2022, Suzhou took the lead nationally in launching the "IP and Standards Integration" project. By the end of 2025, it released the nation's first "Guiding Opinions on the Collaborative Support of IP and Standards for the Fusion of Technological and Industrial Innovation." This has resulted in a batch of typical cases where the synergy of IP and standards supports enterprises in forming competitive advantages, helping them gain a greater voice in their respective industries. Based on market demand for resource sharing and collaborative innovation, Suzhou has established several Collaborative Innovation Centers (Alliances) in fields such as optoelectronics, nanotechnology applications, specialized cables, and new energy storage. These centers conduct collaborative research, develop IP and standard systems, layout core patent portfolios, and formulate domestic and international technical standards.

Facilitating patent transformation and utilization to build a "full-chain" service. Suzhou actively guides the transformation and utilization of high-value patents to serve the "main battlefield" of economic construction. The city continues to host the "IP Quality Action for Enterprises" series, focusing on key industries and collaborating with professional institutions and research academies to address pain points for enterprises. By leveraging IP and other technical tools, a batch of urgent technical challenges has been resolved. The city has also strengthened the construction of IP Workstations (Trademark and Brand Guidance Stations), upgrading 41 stations from basic services to professional services like high-value patent mining and risk early warning, effectively bridging the "last mile" of service delivery. Furthermore, the city has promoted the "IP Director's Salon" to improve the efficiency of IP utilization and conducted monthly roadshows for SRDI SMEs to connect them with high-quality investment institutions.

Looking ahead, the Municipal Market Supervision Bureau will focus on the "1030" industrial system, deeply implement the IP-strong enterprise cultivation project, and reinforce high-value patent layouts in "bottleneck" areas. By strengthening the construction of industrial patent pools and effectively utilizing the patent system to enhance innovation-driven development, Suzhou aims to make high-value patents a crucial institutional guarantee and technical supply for new quality productive forces, providing solid support for the city to lead and set a demonstration for high-quality economic development.
