South Korea to invest $699 mln in national IP projects in 2024

    South Korea plans to invest 934.1 billion won ($699 million) in national intellectual property projects in 2024. This decision was announced on Tuesday during a meeting organized by the country’s Presidential Council on Intellectual Property, which convened to approve the national IP implementation plan for 2024. As part of this plan, a specialized organization, named the "National Strategic Technology Patent Support Team," will be established under the Korea Intellectual Property Strategy Agency. This team will analyze both Korean and foreign patents related to 12 national strategic technologies, aiming to support research and development efficiency.
