On March 30th, 2018, Kangxin held a salon at the Yizhuang Economic Development Zone to discuss high-value patents and IP management of listing pharmaceuticals on the market. This salon was led by partners Ms Shirley Dong and Mr Han Jianwei.

Mr Han Jianwei first discussed IP risks in innovative industries, explaining the nature of patents, infringement possibilities, patent standards, patent design, and patent use. He also explained the process of obtaining a patent and the common issues encountered by innovation industries.

Ms Shirley Dong then explained the process of patent management when listing a pharmaceutical product on the market. She also shared the significance of patents to the pharmaceutical industry, the patent link system, as well as presented cases of pharmaceutical listings to better illustrate the material to her audience.

Following the presentations, representatives from many companies and industries spoke to Ms Dong and Mr Han to discuss the specific issues they have encountered in their lines of work. The three hour event was detailed and informative, giving the audience a deeper understanding of patents and IP management in their industries.
